With the availability of consumer solar panels back in the 60's and 70's, solar energy became a viable source of energy. Unfortunately, those prototype solar panels were still very new and not very efficient.

Fast forward 30 years and today's solar panels are not only compact, they are extremely efficient and probably the most cost-effective form of energy today. Solar panels have a life span of about 25 years with typical ratings of 200 watts per panel.

The iMountain.com Photovoltaic Array is spread in sections across our rooftop and walltops. Our data Center is located in sunny Southern California so sunshine is usually in abundance.
